Definitely worth some time otherwise they will keep doing it. I would say give it a couple of hours worth, then send it through the TIO.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

You are aware that the very definition of 'leather' is a material made from the skin of an animal by tanning or a similar process, right? It's actually not possible for 'vegan leather' to exist. Sure, slap a sticker on it to say it's vegan, whatever.... but call it what it is. Same argument exists ...

I guess they have a point where protesting out of the way means it's easy to ignore them. Doesn't stop them being annoying.

New cooktop/oven yay!

Side note: Just because they say it's 540mm wide doesn't necessarily mean it's actually 540mm wide.

Just noticed it's super shiny and reflective too.

Agree with Cherry. None of the electrics I've owned do a super smooth shave, but they are good enough to look like you've shaved.

Assassins Creed Syndicate for $29.99us at Green Man Gaming - best deal I've seen
It's been cheaper before.
Currently the cheapest I could easily find is $11.98 US at GameBillet which I believe is an official partner and $14.89 at CDKeys.com if you want a reasonably reliable grey market.

Re: Show us your latest purchase - Winter 2019

Club Med Bali. Not super cheap, but still pretty good if you book at the right time considering it's all inclusive. Including flights and transfers we are looking at $434 per day for 2 people for 10 days.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

The super cards are a slight improvement over their predecessors at the same price point. Still a lot cheaper than the Ti cards. Probably going to get a 3700x (cheaper than the 9700kf I was eyeing off) and a 2080 super. Not in a huge rush but would like it soonish. Have to look at reviews of the new...

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

Was ready to drop money on a new PC at the start of last month but then AMD announces the new Ryzen stuff. Now nVidia has announced a video card refresh. I got used to the something new is just around the corner but normally it was 6 months off. So now I'm waiting for 2080 supers to be released here...

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

It's a lot better in big cities. I have the option of spending around $7 a day on busses or $30 on parking plus whatever on petrol. Due to the OBahn the bus is probably faster than a car during peak hour too.

Re: Borderlands 2 resources

Not that I know of. The only real way to get around it is to plug in a controller and switch to that when in a vehicle. That's actually a popular controller set up. Might give that a shot if it supports Dualshock 4 via Steam. I think the most annoying thing about it is that it switches the W and S ...

Started playing this recently but the mouse look steering is driving me insane. Is there any way to completely disable mouse look steering - the vehicle steering options only seem to enable and disable keyboard driving.

Going to resist pre-ordering because I don't like what it encourages in publishers, even if CD Projekt is a pretty good publisher.

Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

Personally I think truth in election advertising really needs to be looked at. There were a bunch of ads around that were 100% bullshit but they were legal because somebody authorised them.
Given the current 2 parties it's not likely to happen but it would be nice.

Re: Game of Thrones (Season 8) - SPOILERS

It was OK at best. I think people are disappointed mostly because the other seasons were great, so the let down from falling from that lofty perch has people angry. Other seasons were getting rated at around 9 or higher. This season started at 8 and just kept dropping, especially after Winterfell. L...

I agree that the general cinematography and directing is top notch (barring some of the Battle of Winterfell), but the writing, pacing and order of events is a bit ehhhhhh.

Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

I'm OK with the bar being pretty low. Upholds more of the democratic principles while also acting as a handy survey of the variety of motivated nutters out in the community. I wouldn't take that cheat sheet as anything close to gospel. The headline often doesn't have much to do with what the party i...
