Re: Justice League (2017)
Unfortunately for DC they’ll always be compared to the MCU and the introduction of new characters without much of a backstory (playiny catchup) has impacted the movies. Justice League was generally enjoyable, but should’ve been done after another 3 years after we’ve been introduced to Flash, Aqua Ma...

Re: Alita: Battle Angel (live action)
I watched the anime once and it has always stuck with me.
Never thought I’d see Cameron go through with the live action but very cool to see.

Re: Avengers: Infinity War
Not the MCU ones. SS is over at 20th Century Fox unfortunately. Oh no shit :( Which is not to say that SS would never appear in a MCU movie. Sony had exclusive rights to Spiderman but after significant negotiations they brought him into the MCU. But yeah unless some massive secret has been kept, we...

Re: Star Wars Battlefront II
Couldn't believe it, played as a hero (Luke) for the first time tonite. I had quite a decent run beforehand, but it feels like getting enough Battlepoints to play as a hero is more of a once in a blue moon sort of thing than a typical part of the game. Which is fine, as the Heroes are insanely powe...

Re: Star Wars Battlefront II
I didn't have a bad time with D3 during the vanilla days... I think I have a decent understanding of wealth creation and the discipline that comes with it so my in game gold and even real money balance went up during those two years. But if the number of crumby items I sold at the $2-5 range was an...

Re: The NBN thread
What speed option are you on? But that is just ADSL... nothing better... I signed up for 100mbps plan, figured I would downgrade if necessary. Needless to say I’ve downgraded to 25 next month. What steps have you taken to troubleshoot? That's a really low result. I called up my ISP, he did a speed ...

Re: Star Wars Battlefront II
So I do have the game... /ducks ...and I've played it for a few hours. The game looks gorgeous, sounds awesome, and gunplay generally is a lot of fun. On a technical level, it's everything you want it be. But yeah, the progression system is pretty shit. On average you're earning 250 credits a game i...

Re: Star Wars Battlefront II
They’ve reduced the credit unlocks by 75%, so Luke/Vader has gone down from 60,000 to 15,000.
Still the damage has been done and it is still insulting to lock iconic characters for no justifiable reason other than to incentivise people to pay for loot boxes.

Re: New TV Help
I’m going a TV buy phase right now so hopefully can help: Firstly, TV size is like the internet. It’s great to upsize, but to downsize kinda sucks. You become so accustomed to your current size so if possible try to keep the size the same. In terms of Ultra HD, HD, OLED, here are my two cents: OLED ...

Re: Alien: Covenant
I think the only bit that really bugged me was taking off the helmets on a foreign planet, which seems to be a big no-no in Planetary Exploration 101. But I suppose they needed some poor suckers to breathe in some nasty spores for plot advancement. Either way, the film was ok.

EA have come out with a response regarding a number of issues: Teams We are also looking into more ways to allow players to stay and play together as a team – for launch, we’ll have a new feature for you that rewards all players in a spawn wave. The loot crate/progression system There are many thing...

Re: Star Wars Battlefront II
Played a couple of hours over the weekend. First off I'm impressed by how they've re-jigged the general gameplay. No more pickups on the ground, just focus on playing the objective or killing the enemy. The battlefield points system is a cool way to implement vehicles and unique character options - ...

My brother in law is paying $7-10k or so to have the copper from the node to his house replaced with FTTP, lucky bastard. How far is he from the node, ie $ per metre? One can see it as an investment decision to increase value of a house in some respects. Shame some people just get that bonus for fr...

Re: Star Wars Battlefront II
Visually the game looks the same as the first Battlefront. Gameplay wise it also looks similar with the use of power-ups and starcards. The addition of a characters/content from all eras seems to be the biggest thing drawcard getting people excited, but if you didn't like the gameplay of the first B...

Went to visit my grandma, notice she has a white box installed in her kitchen. Turns out to be a NBN box which I assume means she has FTTP.
Meanwhile I wait till Jan 2018 for crappy FTTN

Yeah I watched that yesterday as well.. pretty cool trip down memory lane. I do own C&C 4 but never played it, I think I got it some C&C bundle I purchased. For me, C&C ended at 3 as I loved that. RA3 wasn't bad but they were really pushing for the fast play game style and the best thing about the ...

I'm sitting on 98% with one outstanding task which annoyingly can't be completed. It's finding the remnant data cores for Peebee which are mostly found in vaults. If you miss too many like I did, you can't go back because the vaults are locked. Bad design imo. I agree the fetch quests were dumb, the...
