Re: Novel Coronavirus
Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson have tested positive and are now in isolation in Australia. https://twitter.com/tomhanks/status/1237909897020207104 Hope they both make a full and speedy recovery. Getting sick away from home is awful at the best of times. there is a go fund me page for Tom, I don...

Re: Doctor Who
the first five minutes explains the last five minutes; watch it again and again; the middle bit is rubbish but if you focus on the start and the end you see where episode two will end and probably why the whovians are staring on episode two...

I went to Jaycar yesterday, which is always good fun, and bought LED Illuminated Desktop Magnifier and the optional second 5 diopter lens; though could have filled a trolley with stuff :) https://www.jaycar.com.au/medias/sys_master/images/9317937446942/QM3552-led-illuminated-desktop-magnifierImageMa...

Re: The Boris bubble
I need to stop reading the woes of Westminster. I had a dream last night that I was living in a share house while at uni with Boris and he kept on insisting on how we should pack the fridge... Boris "no the meat has to go on the third shelf as it has the best airflow or we will all die of some horri...

Re: The ashes 2019
well played Australia and deserving win. good that England showed some fight on the final day but once Stokes was gone it was only a matter of time and the Australians showed good composure and patience to close out the test match. Test five should be a good one plenty to play for and will end a goo...

Re: The ashes 2019
England on the ropes and hard to see them getting to tea in fact it could be over before lunch. the first session will be a cracker and IF England to manage a draw the fifth test will be a block buster !

Re: The ashes 2019
how a dropped catch and a no ball can cost you the Ashes, hard to see England recovering from such a deficit and I doubt the match will make it to Sunday. Great innings from Smith and Paine but as Smith himself said the English wasted the new ball by pitching too short, Broad bowled well but wasn't ...

Re: The Boris bubble
Boris the clown storms Westminster and fails a further 3 times on the floor. an election is still the likely outcome but Labor won't support the motion until a no deal brexit is ruled out by the lords which might take a few days. so more days of chaos and lies from Boris.

Re: The ashes 2019
Australia certainly won the day, well played steve and marnus; tomorrow looks to be a good batting day so England will need to do something special to keep Australia below 300. Friday weather looks pretty mixed so the Australian bowlers might yet get the best of the conditions. good analysis from ge...

Re: The ashes 2019
I hope Australia play Starc he could be a real weapon in this test, but I think Khawaja has been hard done; Harris has done nothing and playing at 3 when your openers aren't performing is a challenge.
rain might force this test to a draw, forecast doesn't look good until the weekend.

Re: The Boris bubble
no, the first bill for tomorrow is to stop a no deal brexit and force the PM to seek an extension till January and then to force an election as such a defeat for Boris would demand. he will still need to get a 2/3 majority vote for an election but it is likely that Labor will support the election mo...

Re: The Boris bubble
301 - 328 good way for Boris to start his prime minister-ship; he'll likely fail again tomorrow and be forced to call for an election... the train wreck of British politics continues and will likely overshadow the test

Re: The Boris bubble
Boris and Mogg have gone full thermonuclear by proroguing parliament and next week should be a cracker in London and always worth listening to the BBC's Laura Kuenssberg, she knows the deal better than most. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-49518371 and truth be known I just love using the word ...

Re: The ashes 2019
that was a poor decision by the ump but Australia dug that hole. I'm not a fan of Stokes though when you put on the war paint and go full monty he deserves some credit. with 80 runs and one wicket Australia should have it well before the ump decided the game. It does set up a couple of good tests, E...

Official results for the season... Mini takes home the meat tray, Hamish a free shout and Makena a beanie. some good games this year (except the ones involving the Dees) and should be a cracking final series... Go the mighty Lions :) https://i.imgur.com/6B4wlH6.jpg https://i.imgur.com/o70iFzs.jpg
