Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts
Yeah, my fucktardary wasn't directed at genuine feelings of anxiety etc., more so the super-over-the-top reactionary panic buying. No ill intended Cherry :) None taken :) I fully stocked our two small freezers with chicken, beef, veggies, etc and we bought ONE bulk pack of toilet paper but we didn'...

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts
I panicked. In my defense, I have medically diagnosed general anxiety disorder and panic disorder, and seeing aisles devoid of dunny paper and tissues felt like a solid reason to freak the fuck out.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts
Went to Coles on a whim after doing my exercise/bottle recycling and THEY HAD TOILET PAPER! It's a week after Easter miracle! :D [Edit: Should note, I also picked up some fresh food. Didn't just go to browse!] Woolies had almost a full aisle of toilet paper and tissues... I found myself walking alo...

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts
Easter without a family catch up wasn't the same, mental health has taken a complete tumble, and now I am attempting to home school while still working as much as possible. Honestly I am waiting for the inevitable complete mental breakdown at the moment. If you need or would like to chat to someone...

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts
Hope everyone had a happy Easter. I've been busy with work, today marks the start of Week 5 of working from home, the first few weeks were dreadfully lonely but it's great now I have Disco at home. I'm just trying to balance staying productive with looking after my mental health. It's been a long jo...

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts
It's been a while since I logged in here... I've just completed my first 4 weeks at my new job and I'm loving it so far. Long days when you add 80 minutes of commuting to the day, but mentally/emotionally I feel so much better already and I know I made the right choice for me. I've also got some fle...

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts
I'm late to the discussion but yes, all women's clothing in Australia is the same. Nothing is standardised. I usually go on measurements rather than sizing.

Re: Show us your latest purchase - Summer 2019/20
The bag won't actually be going underground with me, it'll sit up in my office... but yeah, they're still not always the cleanest of places as people walk dirt and crap through the building all the time so grey was safer. What I did like about the light one was the light lining, I thought it would m...

Re: Show us your latest purchase - Summer 2019/20
I made use of our health insurance before the year ran out and ordered around $450 worth of contact lenses for Disco and myself, only out of pocket around $140. I also bought myself a backpack for work, as I'll need to be carting a laptop back and forth each day and you just look like a freak swanni...

Re: Show us your latest purchase - Summer 2019/20
The girlfriend must wear a metric shitload of makeup on her face to need 1.2 litres of makeup remover... you literally need about 6 drops of that on a cotton pad. Any more, and you either need to re-asses how much shit you're putting on your face or you're pissing money down the drain.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts
I hope I get selected, this is the third time I've been called in, wasn't picked the previous two times.
As the trial could go up until 20th December, I rather suspect there will be a lot of people trying to get out of it.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts
Yeah, I'm pretty excited - the largest project I've worked on for them was under 2 million and this is a 685 million dollar project, so it's a bit of a big deal. The waiting is killing me though, this has been in the works/in negotiation for 4-5 weeks and I'm soooooooo ready.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts
Back to Mining... been offered a ridiculous (good ridiculous, not bad ridiculous) amount of money to go back and work on a project with them. Verbally offered and accepted, just waiting on paperwork which is taking a stupid amount of time... and nothing is concrete until the papers are signed IMO.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts
We're safe where we are at the moment, but the ground is so dry and the wind is so bad that it wouldn't take much for things to change - it's an awful time for everyone involved. I'm looking to take up a volunteer position in the local command centre doing radio/dispatch work at some point in the Ne...

A beginners resin kit to have a crack at what I learned in the class at home, and perhaps knock together some neat gifts.
