Re: Star Wars TV Show

Makes sense - produce a big ticket item (as if they needed to :P) to pull even more customers to their Netflix competitor.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

Ironically, we had a (staff funded) morning tea at work this today where a lot of food was left over. I went to get a piece of sponge cake after lunch and the whole thing is gone now. The scabs even left the empty container. No wonder public servants gets so much flak. To be fair, I think this is a...

Stick with being the asshole - I'd take some whinging self-entitled jerks over losing gifts for guests and the like.

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

Started planning for a European vacation in July. Got to spend some time with the in-laws in Finland, then I'm hoping to do a bit of a trip across northern Europe (Stockholm-Copenhagen-Amsterdam) before returning home. I want to head to Japan in late April 2019, but it's a bit early to start planni...

Re: PC powers-down the powers-up again on startup

Or even just a good dusting with a can of compressed air - mine was doing something similar recently, and a good clean out, and reseating RAM/GFX card did the trick.

She looks like fun - some of the better bits and pieces from other heroes. Plus some interesting mechanics in her own right, like the way some abilities are refreshed.

Re: Show Us Your Latest Purchase - January 2018

Steam controller for $60 from the Midland EBGames (managers special) - a hide cheaper than the US$49 I'd be paying elsewhere. I swear I saw on OzB that it was $29 for a steam link + $20AUD Steam gift card... Which sounds like what the guy at the counter tried to upsell me on, except I have no use f...

Been playing Quantum Break this weekend - until about 2/3 through - just now - after having to rerun about 5-7 minutes of the game due to what is apparently a couple of missing checkpoints that arent activating right before a boss battle. Time to visit something else :|

Check the world map - do 4 for a faction that is listed as active there and get a bonus cache at the end of it.

Kids and stuff mean I can'[t really commit to a raiding schedule or anything. I'll usually do new raid content etc once on my main through the Looking for Group thing for the story content, and then leave it, and go back to levelling alts/HotS :P

Re: Heroes of the Storm

The Winter Veil event has started. Not overly frustrating from the look of things... just need to play/win games to unlock the reindeer mount. Also more rewarding with that mount. Going through the patch notes - apparently Stitches stomach capacity has increased - he can now gorge on Tychus while t...

Gaming chair help

So at work we get to choose our 10 year gift ourselves. Budget is running to around $250. While I dont mind the current chair that Im using for my gaming PC, it is getting on a bit, so I thought a new gaming chair I dont have to actually pay for would be a good idea. Been doing some limited research...

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts

I'm assuming Amazon AU will have some sort of sale at some point - prices aren't exactly what I'd think of as launch worthy yet. Even some rather odd pricing: PS4/XB1 versions of Star Wars BFII are $39, PC version $75 :P Yep, noticing similar things... Shop front is also horrible to navigate and fi...
