Memento wasn't quite what I expected. It turned out be more complex in some ways and simpler in others. I can't decide if I actually liked it or not, but it's certainly given me some things to think about.

Admit it, the other thing that sold it was Fruity Rudy...

That character would have been the most unbelievable if not for the fact that he was played by the soldier himself! :P

Just saw that all 7 seasons of Star Trek: Voyager are on Netflix so that will keep me occupied for a while. Some of the acting is a bit questionable but hey, it's Star Trek!!

All seasons of all Star Treks have been added, including The animated series, for some reason Voyager is the one getting pushed to most peoples new added or recommended lists, I'm about due for my rewatch of my personal favourite Deep Space Nine will probably try to power through the first season while I get some cleaning done this weekend, every Star Trek series had a rough first season, I think Voyagers was the worst closely followed by DS9.

I could never get into DS9, it was like, if I watched them episode by episode, it would be 4 or 6 episodes of pure boredom, yet if I skip one episode, next thing everything has gone to shit and blowing up

Setting up the backstory behind the heavily religious Bajorans was definitely trying. But the war near the end of the series was worth it. And for a show that was so heavily religious and their gods were the wormhole aliens, they really didn't explore that connection much. Which is a shame, because in the end all you really had were these boring religious diatribes that weren't really explored. Aside from that though, I really enjoyed DS9

It just never clicked for me.

I watched Stranger Things on Netflix.

I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected. Most of the elements of the show were comfortingly familiar - don't expect anything you haven't sen before here honestly - but it was put together in a really interesting way. It's like it took a lot of fun ideas and mashed them together well. There were some corny moments and plot conveniences but that was all easy to overlook with how much the show did right.

Stranger Things probably has the best pacing of any series I've watched. It's short and sweet, builds intrigue really well and has a pretty good ending. Everything feels like it was set up, and little details pay off in satisfying ways. The show did a lot to make you care about what was going on - it had a clear threat with easy to understand stakes, pinned up by a masterfully handled yet simple monster.

It's just really enjoyable to watch, with some fun thrills and spills. You just care about the dudes on the screen. I'd definitely recommend it!

Also I kind of hope they don't do a sequel? I just really enjoyed what was in this series, and I can't see how they'd follow on while doing it justice. Maybe they could do something cool in the same universe, but I'd want to see mostly new characters if not a brand new cast.

I just watched the first episode of Stranger Things last night and I got sucked in straight away, I'm pretty keen to binge watch the rest of it.

This season of Mr Robot has been weird so far, I feel like I've forgotten a lot of what happened in S1. Might have to rewatch it.

I keep watching episodes alone at night before I go to bed and creeping myself out. But it's awesome and that's when I have time to watch it so I keep doing it, lol.

I cant think of anything that's better, would have preferred 2 more seasons instead of Gotham.

Just finished episode 1, I enjoyed it so much I didn't want to watch episode 2 straight away... that sounds weird in the age of binge watching but I really want to take it all in and have time to process and think about my theories before watching the next episode, will probably do 1 a night.

Started to watch DS9 again and got to an episode where the crew are all using their scanners on something on the promenade (one of the billions scenes to come no doubt) and strangely my first thought was - Oh, their hunting for Pokemons...
