I try not to think about it. I saw that movie on my birthday. That was back in the days when I tried to think the best of everything so I didn't mind the movie on my first viewing. And besides, we otherwise wouldn't have youtube clips like this...
By far my fave video game movie moment was when I watched through the first MK movie with my ex (she was a fan before we started dating)... and then I introduced her to the sequel. No explanation needed why she's my ex - lol
Lol. Dollaryroos... god bless those writers from the old days of the Simpsons.
Anyway, it's been a while since I've posted a vid of a talk show host's antics whilst driving around with celebs. Worth watching for when Corden starts texting other celebs with J Lo's phone. Real or not it's hilarious...
My most vivid memory of the local video store was that it had a funny layout... with all the Mega Drive games next to the adult section. I guess their logic was that nerds would find it convenient if the porn and games were in the same area but there's been a few times I've seen a 10yo kid looking through the Mega Drive games and then picking up a VHS/DVD case for a porno and staring at that intensely. I'd then see if the kid's parents were nearby so I could tell them what their kid was looking at.
I guess it's no different to how parents need to watch out for access to porn on the internet but you'd think that anything that's kid friendly should be kept away from the adult section.
On a lighter note, mates and I use to swing by the local video store (which was also next to KFC) on the way home from Uni on the odd Friday night... grab some fried chicken if we didn't feel like pizza and either get a game that supported multiple players or a movie to watch. I'd say those were the days... but I was also relatively broke back then and certainly don't miss that - lol
The days I miss the most was when we all had finished Uni and started working... actually had money to go out for dinner or the movies and not feel broke afterwards. That was before we all started dispersing to other parts of the country/world... but then internet gaming has caught up too and we can all afford games now.
