Nice will have to give this a go. Main reason the ps4 doesn't get any use

Damn, this default 'in-house' modem router I got as part of my signup plan really sucks, can't for the life of me get this to work on its extremely lacking and basic configuration screens.
Oh well. Maybe one day if or when I get a real model.

Yeah my netgear doesnt do it natively either. Such annoyance

This seems to line up with the reports I've been seeing about Sony throttling PSN download speeds. The fact that it's so easy to work around tells me that Sony can't even do that right.

Switching my DNS on the PS4 to the Google DNS 8.8.8.8 helped a fair bit. Haven't tried the above though.
