I've just stopped buying games altogether... At least until epic's giveaway ends. I still haven't played This War of Mine and I've gotten it for free. Same goes for the Arkham trilogy.

I'm surprised they didn't give away Borderlands 1, 2 and pre sequel so players could keep their collection to the same launcher.

The reason for that is because the multiplayer backend is powered by Steamworks. Only two options are a full backend rework so that everyone can play with each other (which would be unviable for such old titles as Steamworks is still actively supported - unlike GameSpy which Borderlands 1's multiplayer backend was migrated from) or splitting the multiplayer base between the Epic Store version and the Steam version (which would be unpopular with the community).

Surviving Mars is out now. Don't forget to scroll down and grab the 2 free DLCs too.

Next week's freebies is Observer which looks pretty cool I must say, and Alan Wake's American Nightmare to round out the Alan Wake collection in the Epic library.
