Mobile Phone Sound Problem

Post by Kendrite » 19 Oct 2016, 19:10

I've got a Lenovo K3 Note mobile phone.

Just recently I've had a problem listening to anything through the 3.5mm headphone jack. Tried 2 headsets with and had the same problem.

I can hear music but you can almost not hear the vocals at all. Talk-back radio I need to put the volume to max and then it's really crackly.

I've tried cleaning the jack with some compressed air but it didn't help. I've looked at all the settings (it's almost like karaoke so I was looking for a karaoke setting!) but found nothing.

The phones normal speaker and Bluetooth speaker play fine.

Does anyone have any ideas or is the 3.5mm jack stuffed (maybe I should get an iPhone 7, lol)?

Clutching but hoping for suggestions.

Thanks.

Have you tried a factory reset? That will rule out any software problems.

I'm going to give that a try tonight and hopefully it'll do the trick. Fingers crossed.

Check equalisers, many phones and apps have separate equaliser settings for speakers and headphones so you may have changed the headphone equaliser inadvertently.

I tried to do a factory reset but the problem persisted.

Looked for equaliser and ensured it was turned off.

As Bluetooth still sounds fine I've used the problem as an excuse to buy a set of Bluetooth earbuds...

Yeah I'd say your 3.5mm jack is borked.
