Oh right, I forgot about that USB Power adapter thingy..
Still not 100% sure I understand what I need, is it just that the power plug thing itself is a US plug, and we need a US>AU adapter for power? I think My steam link came with a handful of adapters I might be able to use if that's the case, if it's something else entirely than I'm stumped.

No, the SNES mini only has a USB power cable. You need the adapter if you intend to power the mini from the wall rather than a USB port. I dunno if a mobile phone usb adapter will work so I'm just gonna purchase the official one anyway.

I have adapters that can run my Raspberry Pi, so I am assuming one of them will work for this...
If not then I will go back to EB or JB and get one

Re: Show Us Your Latest Purchase - September 2017
Oh ok, fair enough.
Yeah was googling it a bit more today leading up to its launch next week, seems like it should be able to run straight off a TV's usb port even, failing that my power strip has USB ports on them anyway, all good.
I thought the plug itself was some US thing all this time and from the initial announcement, I've been needlessly confused apparently

Hopefully I can power it via the same way I power my Chromecast - via the USB port directly above the HDMI port on my TV.

Yeah, it's designed to be powered from a TV USB port so you guys shouldn't have issues.

So far in my 32 years of life I have determined that the number one pain a man can experience is a gall bladder attack, and the number two is gout..

My SNES mini payment has been sorted out. Kudos to Rachel from JB HiFi for the top job with walking me through the work around. Looking forward to having it ship on the 28th. Fingers crossed it arrives at the Po box for me to pick up on the 30th.

I had my gall bladder out years ago and I can say if you think a gall stone is painful, wait till you experience a kidney stone!
Closest thing a guy will come to experiencing childbirth. In fact, many women who have gone through both cite the kidney stone as more painful. Mine was the reason that my drink of choice for the last 7 years is now water 95% of the time.

Yep, had women tell me the same about gall stones, bastard of a thing but at least they don't have to pass through your ding dong, hope I never have to worry about it - if I do I'll be on the deep web ordering good drugs!Bicketybam wrote: ↑22 Sep 2017, 22:12I had my gall bladder out years ago and I can say if you think a gall stone is painful, wait till you experience a kidney stone!

It's apparently been on sale for a while around the nation so some areas might be out:

In saying that, I swear that my store was out last time I looked. They probably got more stock in recently considering the number of weeks since that Ozbargain post.
Speeds seem OK. I copied a 3.5Gb file and the speeds were consistently between 13-16Mb/sec on my rig. Took 3-4min or so.

Since I've still got no NBN, I've ditched telstra (for mobile), grabbed a 100gig optus plan, galaxy note 8 for 108$/mo - should be able to get a free wireless charger and a further $250 (or 300 - cannot recall) voucher for the samsung store.
Hopefully it doesn't catch fire... so far so good!
Have to say my temporary Xiaomi Max was a FANTASTIC phone, huge but amazingly great for the price (was ~300).
Just looking forward to having a fantastic camera and enough quota to actually patch/play games this month. Good times.
