We were unable to acquire a complete copy of the server vault and database from TPG to run on the new server, so everyone has to start from scratch.

Long time player looking to return :)

I logged in today and got a level on a new character. Upon relogging in later I noticed a warning at the bottom of the screen saying my CD wasn't unique. I grabbed the GOG version, so I updated my CD key .ini with my old CD keys, but now as soon as I log in I get booted with the message "You have been booted". Any ideas?

Howdy guys,
I see a few usernames I recognise, I used to play as Dreyus in the old server. Myself and a few friends are looking at getting back into the game, in fact I have about 10 people interested. The thing is they all have bought the enhanced edition, is thAt edition compatible with the server? Also can’t remember my old username, any wavy to find that?

As I understand it EE should be backwards compatable with 1.69 version as long as you still have the core haks still in place... That is that you updated over the older game and not done a fresh install of EE... Am sure Andre could help you out in either case as and when he has the time that is...

I couldn't get it working on release as it has been patched to version 1.74, however this was in closed beta so I don't know if they have added backwards compatibility since then.

EE is not backwards compatible and will never be.

Just confirming, Enhanced Edition can not play on Edon because it can not be converted to v1.69?

Dual installation is probably the only way it is achievable but EE could well overwrite the sys reg's and make this impossible that way too ...

Yes. Enhanced Edition cannot be used to connect to Edon.

Hi all,

Returning player here.... :)

I have managed to set everything up, and can get into the server, but am experiencing a different issue I can't find a fix for...

I have a two displays and I can't seem to get the game to run fullscreen / bordered. I.e when I scroll to the right there is no edge and it just continues to my other display and will tab out of the game if I click anywhere...

I have tried many resolution settings (both default and in-game) but have the same problem...

I know one solution is just to disconnect my second screen, but was just wondering if this was an issue others had come across / if anyone knew a way to keep NWN cursor locked on the one screen...?

(I am running windows 7).

Thanks!

Am not sure what your trying to achieve here, but I would recommend not running NWN 1 in windowed mode... You may also have to take a look at your settings in the nwn folder you should find an .ini file and you may have alter setting there to get things running correctly... This is also the place where you'll find the windowed mode set to 1 or 0 and you should then make sure that is 0 value (ie false)...

Hi Sapphire!

I don't actually want to run the game in windowed mode... but when I run it normally (i.e Full Screen, Bordered), the game is acting like it is windowed as there is no cursor lock to prevent me from scrolling across to my second screen...

I have looked in the nwn.ini file and I cant see any reference to Windowed Mode, only Fullscreen which =1.

Personally I have never heard of anyone trying to run NWN accross 2 screens... Think you should either buy a bigger monitor or just play it on 1 screen... Also the lack of a windowed mode suggest to me you have the diamond edition of the game as the original which I run does have windowed mode option in the .ini file which naturally I set to "0" of course... Later editions done away with that bit of the .ini file though I do believe you could edit it back in if you desired...

I don't think I'm doing a very good job of explaining myself but thank you for your help.... :)

I only want it to run on the one screen, and the game itself does only display on my main monitor... The issue I'm having is that its not acting as "Full Screen" in the sense that if I scroll to the right, rather than keeping my cursor in the borders of the game, it moves outside of the game across to my second monitor. This basically means that I can't move my character view to the right, and the game alt-tabs if I end up clicking over onto my second monitor...

When I played NWN previously, I only had the one monitor, so this was never an issue I came up against... I mean, as per my original post, I can just disconnect my second screen, but I'd rather keep it connected if possible so I put something else up there + these days a lot of people have multiple monitors, so I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem of NWN not locking the cursor to the game screen...

Actually, I still have my original NWN Gold Edition CD's with separate HOTU expansion CD, and I have installed with those ... (Plus updating to 1.69 + CEP etc...)

Thanks
