I honestly couldn't figure out which section to put this in... is it open world? is it an ARPG? In the end, I thought action game is generic enough to encompass everything.
I reserve judgement until release due to Gearbox's involvement. That Aliens: Colonial Marines fiasco still haunts me. That game should have a been an awesome, well scripted co-op shooter... probably third person would have served the experience better.
