Hadn't heard of this before, but I see it's pretty newly announced. Interesting to see Funcom do something like this, having the Conan licence and a proper developer behind it, it could actually be decent.

I've tried a bunch of these open world survival games lately (thankyou Secret Santa) and while a lot of them have a solid foundation they're all lacking depth and polish. Hopefully this bucks the trend. Northern Summer 2016 is so far away...

The footprints in the sand though. If they can keep that in, wow.

Player generated, cool... so what they mean is "no content" then.

I'm jaded when it comes to "sandbox" games now... Sandbox used to mean they gave you the tools to create your own narrative, now it just means they give you the barest basics with no tools, no story and no endgame or direction and they let you pvp.

Having read a lot of Conan, i don't see how a sandbox game can do anything but use the name as a cash grab, the world is too complex.

I got nothing for ya... I was raised to not do things I wouldn't want done to myself. And that's why anal sex is off the agenda.

Well its available in early access now [aka paid beta like most games these days], we have a 'relaxed pvp' server up, #1Australia, and it overall seems stable, sometimes there is a bit of sync issues and there is a display bug qith craft ques currently.
The pvp seems smooth, provided you're on a decent server with decent ping and no packetloss.

Well it depends what you're after, if you want finished balanced working as intended gameplay then probably wait, if you're happy to deal with the quirks and things that need tuning then jump in.
Currently official servers are not running battle eye and people sometimes complain of lag. My server is running battle eye and not only have I not noticed any server problems, quite a few people have said how much smother it is than other servers they've tried.

Hopefully that info helps you.

Ark sucks imo, way too time intensive, rust would be better IMO.
