I was so excited for the original release and it was one of the first things I wrote about for Player Attack and it was such a disappointing experience. Seeing some of the same footage in the trailer for the "relaunch" sure doesn't inspire confidence.

Hope it's good. The lore was very promising and it had some neat ideas... :(

Same here. Illuminati mythos is something I've been really interested in (my favourite author is Robert Anton Wilson, who wrote about it a LOT) but they appeared to just use that setting to make up their own thing rather than use a lot of the existing work. A great setting and some interesting ideas (the puzzles/story quests are a nice touch) but let down a bit by the writing and the controls IMO.

yeah the controls and combat have been reworked as they were pretty bad originally so hopefully it plays better this time around.

having lifetime patron status will be nice as well :)
