If you are elderly or have other medical conditions it is pretty dangerous. It seems to be worse the older you are, kids hardly get sick at all from it from what I've read.

Yeah we're only in our 30's.

Hope I don't get it, even if it's not bad/fatal, my boss thinks that Personal Leave days should actually be 75% work from home days, and gets upset if I've DND'd my phone for a few hours to catch a nap when I've got a cold/flu.

Your boss should fuck off. Those sick days are a workplace entitlement. You are entitled to them.

Yeah, he's pretty backwards in a lot of ways, wont hire women of child bearing age or women with kids, doesn't believe in sick leave, doesn't think anyone should leave the office on time (they should do extra, just because!) and has no understanding of company morale and that happy employees are more productive employees.

I have an aversion to germs and even shaking hands, I go through hand sanitizer at work like nobodies business, everyone knows this about me - the boss was in a few weeks ago with a head cold and kept telling me "it's not contagious" ...

Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson have tested positive and are now in isolation in Australia. Hope they both make a full and speedy recovery. Getting sick away from home is awful at the best of times.

On a lighter note been watching that interactive map - anyone else notice how much it looks like a "Plague Inc" map? ,we're fine as long as there's no infection in Greenland...course if it does pop up there then it's the end of the world! ;)

Ireland has suspended all schools and daycare centres. And their death rate is less than ours. When is our government gonna wise up. Best they can do is provide a 'vote for me' payment to the needy. Not much use if those people are dead.

And yeah, hope Mr Hanky and wife makes a full recovery. Cannot imagine being deprived of his work so soon.

Absolute nightmare for health officials.... they have been in contact with HUNDREDS of people since they have been here, there's pics from a few days ago of Tom being absolutely mobbed at Mr Wong in Sydney.

The Potato has it as well. Distinctly less worried about him than Tom Hanks. Though I hope he makes a full recovery in due course as well.

If only we could get word that Trump's got it too.

So many movies have had their releases pushed back now... first it was 007, then Fast 9, now Mulan and The New Mutants too. Wish they'd come out on streaming... and that we'd all go into lock down. I'd be happy to purchase 6 streaming subscriptions to pass my days.

I hear Disco went shopping...

Your headline wasn't too far off "Orange man gets Caronavirus". I expect Trump will get it at some point, but will probably be kept under wraps as he has a need to appear invincible.

Don't know what you're all talking about! (Fixed.)

Total confirmed cases in NSW sits at 112 as of 4.30pm The number of unknown sources is a bit concerning. Hopefully some of them are related and thus have a common source, rather than it being a lot more widespread.

Remember to wash your hands and try to avoid touching your face!
