Logan (Wolverine 3)
Logan (Wolverine 3)
Pretty good shot of Patrick Stewart in the final Wolverine film for Hugh Jackman... and a nod to Mangold for also satisfying the photography nerds amongst us with details of the settings the shot was taken at.

So if they didn't mention the word mutants, imo, you would be forgiven for mistaking it for a non-xmen movie.
Anyway, I don't really understand what's going on in the trailer, maybe because I haven't seen number 2? Is it meant to follow on from that or another X-Men movie?

Re: Logan (Wolverine 3)
It's basically the Old Man Logan storyline, I assume it'll just be set quite a long time after the retcon of DoFP.

Interesting tone, I wouldn't expect the teaser to jizz "yah mutants and Xmen" in our face in any event.
Given the events of DoFP, I expect to view this almost as a standalone movie.

Re: Logan (Wolverine 3)
Yeah all the Wolverine flicks seem to be stand alone flicks. I think they just used the post apocalyptic setting of OML and the end result looks more like The Last Of Us or Book of Eli. Still, I like Hugh as Wolvy and having Patrick Stewart adds to the appeal. Will watch this in the cinemas if time permits.

UK trailer has an R rated scene at the 1:27 mark that was cut from the US version:

Re: Logan (Wolverine 3)
I have a feeling this will tie heavily into Deadpool 2, with Cable being confirmed for Deadpool 2, and him having a pretty big role in the Old Man Logan storyline, and well, both franchises are owned by Fox.Mugsy wrote:Yeah all the Wolverine flicks seem to be stand alone flicks.
And if you've seen Apocalypse, during a scene at the end of the movie (potential heavy spoilers for Logan)

Wait didn't he lose his metal claws in the last Wolverine movie?

Have you seen Days of Future Past?
Don't wanna go into too much if you haven't.

Re: Logan (Wolverine 3)
Lol. Yeah it can get confusing. Logan continues on from the new timeline indeed. Doesn't explain how he got metal claws back in DOFP but I think most people just assume Magneto did something between The Wolverine and DOFP.

Not as good as the first trailer and might reveal a bit too many scenes of dialogue...

Re: Logan (Wolverine 3)
My bro and I had an interesting theory. I doesn't quite make sense why Prof X is still around when the other X-men have supposedly died off... what if they pull a Sixth Sense or A Beautiful Mind on us and Prof X is actually just Logan's imagination?

There's a good chance they didn't die from natural causes thoughMugsy wrote:My bro and I had an interesting theory.
