Warframe was good fun, but a game that I felt I needed to throw money into to get the most out of it.
Going to try to stay clear of both Factorio and Rocket League tonight, thinking Diablo and GTA.

I'm with you, Disco, I had no understanding of the game and only tried once after the tutorial. Abominable stuff.

Gwent is awesome! It's basically a full other game within a game, it's pretty complex. (which is probably why it's now standalone)

I had forgotten how janky it is, from the movement to the mouse free look snapping back to centre and holy shit the cut-scenes and dialogue are super average after having just played GTA V.

I had also forgotten how badly most of the vehicles handle. I love the handling on the more powerful cars, but the slower and crappier ones all have gigantic turning circles and will just float and slide around a crazy amount.

Also everything is just so grey and brown.

It really feels like a HD version of III, whereas V feels like a proper next-gen game.
I tried about 6 months ago and I could barely get it to run at 60 on medium/low. I played it on console on release, and it was great at the time, but it's aged poorly.

I'm enjoying V so much right now. Don't know why I stopped playing 6 months ago... maybe now it's because I don't have Rocket League to distract me.

Interesting... why was that, Mini?

I only ever spent money on cosmetics in Warframe because they're so damned pretty. For frames and parts and the like, the purpose of the game to me is about the great grind... smashing out long missions, the explosions of colour, energy and action. With the new Rifts (which replaced the Void as the high level farming area) my nights are just a matter of getting relics, upgrading relics, then running T1/2/3 Fissures to get Prime Parts.

You may find that with the new Relic/Rift part of the game, farming is fun again and yields you the stuff you need? I have a whole bunch of prime blueprints and parts, no full collections yet but very close to my Prime Paris and a Saryn Prime.

Not sure, I didn't get a long way into it though, don't think I had even finished the basic story, or opened up all of my ship.
It is something that I would have liked to throw some more time into, but with so many games these days it just hasn't been possible.

On that note, anyone looking forward to "For Honor"?
Looking like a good PvP game

Had my first encounter with a player intentionally trying to drop in the rankings in Overwatch last night, they just kept running straight into the middle of the other team, dying, respawning and repeating. So it was basically 5 vs 6 and because they were getting a guaranteed kill every ever 10 seconds their ultimate abilites were charging way faster than ours and we got our butts whipped, we all reported them, I got teamed with them a few games later but I let everyone else know what they were up too and we still managed squeeze out a victory.

How is that even fun, those 2 games I played with them combined to equal about 30 mins, and they were about 2 hours apart from each other, so for the entire this person was just picking a character, running into combat and then dying, they weren't botting either because they were shit talking in team chat as well about how we all suck.

Started a new Fallout 4 survival game, never quite finished it last time and wanted to try a high-INT power armour build. Not hard to see who I've modelled my character on :D

Home alone for the weekend. Got a subwoofer, cranked it up. Replayed Hotline Miami. Sweet.

Quoting this because OH MY GOD.

First time with the house to myself for over a year. While I need to work Monday through Wednesday leaving only night time gaming, I have all of Thursday and Friday off, then all of Saturday up until they return (early afternoon).

I'm going to hammer Rocket League tonight I think. See how much competitive rank I can get in 3's

So dead at work today I loaded up Jedi Academy and using cheats codes spawned Luke Skywalker, then a bunch of enemies for him to fight. He took out a dozen light saber wielding cultists, the main boss of the game, 25 Storm troopers and 5 Wampas before being eaten by a Rancor. If it's quiet tomorrow I'll see how many Luke's it takes to kill a Rancor.

150 hours into Warframe and still finding new game mechanics, new tilesets, just an endless amount of stuff... love it.

May have lost last night to Factorio...
So much can be done in that game, and slowly working my way to the end rocket launch.

And then... to plan a new MP server with a few mods...

Was looking at F2P games on the Xbone store last night and saw this on there, I've basically avoided that game on PC for some reason but your constant praise of the game makes me think I should try it on Xbone.

Don't go in unprepared, Mooseh. It's arcane... even with all these hours I still don't understand certain elements so you can expect it to be really confusing. But, if you like the wall running, sliding, slicing, shooting action enough, you'll hang around long enough for it all to come together.

Happy to party up and walk you through some missions if you don't mind the leg-up!

Agree with DarkMellie - I've played 25 hours and while it's fun I've no idea what I'm meant to be doing.
