It will be nice to not have to use a reshipping service because "this item does not ship to Australia"

Internet's shit slow tonight. The rain and effect from Cyclone Debbie is probably messing things up.

The Rocksmith cable arrived, but I can't get the calibration to work with my guitar. This is annoying - not sure what to do. It's clearly registering the sound (I can hear it through the headphones), but don't know how to fix the calibration.

Oh that's weird storm, worked perfectly from mine the moment I plugged it in and went through calibration and tuning :/

In other news I listen to a few podcasts at work, but I hate how they push products or memberships so much - that's the trade off for being free I guess but it annoys me.

Got the calibration to work finally, but it got stuck at the tuning. I'm coming to the conclusion that it may be the guitar that's the problem, so I'll try it out with my bass tonight.

Been wanting to get a new guitar for a while, though I was planning to go 7-string and it looks like the game only caters for 6.

What podcasts do you listen to, Disco?

Oooh. Amazon's coming to Australia in 2018. For real this time though.
I saw a thing about it on the abc the other night. All about how it will squash small business, like it has everywhere. They will run at a loss, just to crush competition, apparently, then with the competition crippled, they jack up prices.
On the plus side it will make Gerry Harvey cry

There is one of those..guitars with two necks on it for sale around here at the moment second hand, I can barely play one guitar let alone something like that  Mrs Disco saw me get my amp out of the cupboard yesterday and started giving me shit already.

I listen to a few podcasts:

The Art of Manliness
Jocko Podcast
Modern Combat & Survival (this has got to be the wankiest american thing I've ever listened to)
Order of Man
The Steve Austin Show
The Tim Ferriss Show
The Way I Heard it with MIke Rowe

I used to listen to a few others too, but they all want you to subscribe to their 'elite' program to become a better person at no small cost, Order of Man is similar in that regard too but I find it worth listening to.

Yeah, half our staff in the office didn't come in today due to the schools closure announcement. The organisation's announcement to send everyone home by lunch time didn't get issued until 2min after I got to my desk (I was checking work email all morning before leaving). Would have been a lot more dryer today otherwise. Though I did manage to pick up some really cheap stone coated woks from Woolies this morning!

Nothing but sunshine here :( Would love a bit of rough weather, not too tough.. but you know.

The forum skin must be pretty cactus if it's taken this long to get it resolved, no good

1)matty you got a 3d printer yea? seen makeVR ?

2) talking about monopolies /duopolies, big 4 (in banking). - bunnings is another example. also in america they have some sort of law that forbids any company from having (i think) 35% share. so as giant as costco is, it hasnt eaten up its competitors. we need that here.

3) kharis, my condolences.

Also mother in law passed away this morning. She had a heap of issues but it was quite quick at least.
Sorry to hear the bad news kharis. Hope the family is handling it OK.

Work tomorrow is up in the air (no pun intended). It's expected that the rain will ease but road closures etc are likely. Either way, I can work from home if need be... might even be better to do so as I won't have interruptions.

They always seem to be missing one vital thing whenever I go shopping there. Was really looking forward to Masters opening some stores nearby so there would be some variety but that died horribly.

One week since the accident, and Westmead brought my best friend's dad out of the coma today... but he didn't wake up, and he gained his wings shortly after 5pm. Devastated for them.
