Neon Genesis Evangelion coming to Netflix
It's honestly been a while since I've watched this so this is pretty good news.

Yay haven’t watched it in ages. Time to get confused all over again

It would be more exciting if I didn't already have the DVDs. But it's a good reminder to watch it again, even if I've been hanging out for Rebuild 4.0.

Re: Neon Genesis Evangelion coming to Netflix
I think I still have VHS recordings of its first run on SBS. I never did get the DVDs. Just as well, I can just watch this on Netflix now until they bring it out on the medium that supersedes blurays. I wonder how those glass cubes that holds petabytes of data is going?

I'm pretty meh about redubbing the voices , as one guy said in the comments , I've only ever watched it in japanese with sub-titles! , thats how I watch all my japanese or chinese anime and movies.

I've only ever watched NGE on SBS which was dubbed so that's what I remember. Same with Porco Rosso and Castle of Cagliostro. I don't like dubbed live action though. Doesn't feel right.

Re: Neon Genesis Evangelion coming to Netflix
My introduction to anime was Akira playing dubbed on SBS. Good times...
The general problem I've found is the Japanese intonation of speech sounds horrible when copied by English voice actors. So I prefer to hear the pronunciation in Japanese while reading the subs. Perhaps there are some good dubs out there (I would imagine this is true especially with some of the anime films with manly studio distribution like Spirited Away), but I've gotten used to watching with subs.
I did once watch My Neighbor Totoro dubbed in Finnish, though I had seen it before so I could follow along.

I don't know, but I wish he'd bring back cult movies. Viceland would be the perfect channel for it.
