Quarantine precautions may have to be re thought ,looks like the incubation period could be up 24 days! ,there's another story running around saying a 70 year old was infected but didn't show symptoms for 27 days.

3+ weeks from infection to symptoms will make it real tough to keep a lid on. Hope they can come up with a vaccine soon.

One of my friends that works at a school had to quarantine for a couple of weeks after some students caught it.

It's really ironic that for the QLD cases, it's the Gold Coast that gets hit every time. Mum and Dad live next to Southport where the latest case was detected. Told them to not go to Australia Fair for a while just to be safe.

I spoke too soon... first case in Brisbane today with that Uni student at UQ who came back to Brisbane after a 2 week self isolation in Dubai. Makes one wonder if the incubation period can be longer than 2 weeks or if he picked up the virus in Dubai or in transit?

Either way, I still maintain my point of view that the authorities have been very late to react. They should have imposed a worldwide lockdown for 4 weeks to stop the spreading with only controlled movement of key personnel. Lets hope I'm wrong and they do get on top of the problem.
