Anno 2205
Anno 2205
So, anyone else playing this? Have played a bit, and it seems cool.
There are some rather big differences though to Anno 2070, and the other games in the series. For example, you no longer need to build warehouses or town centers. You just build anything where ever you like on the islands you have ported.
The game dose not have a sandbox mode, but given the other changes in the way the game is played, it seems like it might not be as big a deal as first thought. Also, you are able to move buildings at will. I have not worked out if it cots to do so, but given the way its now played, it lends it self more to freedom to layout everything as you like.
Moon talk lead to this.
Edit: Added Vid....

I am The Jagji. The ORIGINAL Jagji. And I am going to reck your shit... by playing for your team, cos I suck at Vida Games.

Re: Anno 2505
I wasn't terribly interested until I found out you can build on the moon. That made me a lot more interested!
Does it still offer the daily/weekly challenges that Anno 2070 was doing?

Not that I can tell, but then, that stuff was not in Anno 2070 to start with, so they might end up putting it in.

Re: Anno 2505
First impressions of it sucked, but I'm slowly coming around. God knows what they were thinking by not providing any tool tips. I've got lots of hours playing 2070 and while I know how to play it, 2205 still takes time to work out. Anyone coming into it for the first time are going to be super confused.
A bit of trivia I only found out, the reason why the 2nd game was called 2070 and why this one is 2205 is because the first Anno was 1404 and it was a success and the numbers added up to the number 9, so they felt it was a sign of good luck and decide each games name would need to add up to the number 9.
Anyway as I get through it a bit more I think I will have more to say about it, but for most people it's definitely not worth the money we get ripped off for it. Unless you are getting it through a key site, which I did for $47Au

And the first was Anno 1602, released in 98 (EU) and 2000 (NA/AUS)Bicketybam wrote:A bit of trivia I only found out, the reason why the 2nd game was called 2070 and why this one is 2205 is because the first Anno was 1404 and it was a success and the numbers added up to the number 9, so they felt it was a sign of good luck and decide each games name would need to add up to the number 9.![]()

Re: Anno 2505
Got this and loving it! It just... absorbs more of my time then 1404 or 2070 did. Slowly getting through the phases, i think I am still in phase 3 so only just building on the moon. Looking forward to having all 9 regions built up and supplies going everywhere haha.

The thing is, Anno 2070 had a few ways to play with or against other people. I am hoping they bring something like that back in to it.Venom wrote:Got this and loving it! Re: Anno 2505
Yeah it's a pity this Anno is lacking in many features standard in the others. However, for me it fits perfectly as a relaxing city builder. The detached combat means all I need to focus on is supply in and demand out. Obviously it is missing a whole lot of stuff which would make it a fantastic game but for what it is now its ok. If they do add that stuff in later then all the better. Also it is very very pretty...

Re: Anno 2505
So, um... I think this is BETTER than 2070.... The game is missing things, but over all, there is more to do in this. Like, you can sit there, do some stuff in one map, and then there is a conflict zone to do, or missions to run. Over all, the game feels more like a game, and less like a chore. That is to say that the others where good, but this seems much more fun.
